Summary:
The current permit for the Town of Lusk, WY municipal landfill expired on May 2, 2010. DEDQ Solid Waste Management Rules calls for submittal of a permit renewal application containing the information required under Chapter 2 of the Solid Waste Rules at least 180 days prior to expiration of the current permit; in this case no later than November 2, 2009. A renewal application was submitted by the Town February 23,2010. The Department determined that the renewal application was deficient, primarily due to inconsistencies between the content of the application and the Town's stated plans for waste management. The Town has requested additional time to finalize its future waste management plans.
