Summary:
The University of wyoming Fleet Services Shop, located at the corner of 15th and Lewis Street was inspected by DEQ and discovered that the 2000 gallon gasoline tank had been filled by a fill tube that did not have spill protection. When this fill tube was used during a fuel delivery, product was pilled when the hose was detached from the fil tube. This has resulted in the contamination of soil and/or groundwater with the proximity of this tank. Since this is a surface spill, corrective action is not covered by the State of Wyoming Storgage Tank Corrective Action Account. S.B. Fueld of Wyoming Inc. was also named in this Notice of Violation and Order because they have been delivering fule to this facility, and they were in charge of the fuel when it was spilled.
