RULEMAKING HEARINGS
Land Quality Rule Package Docket 23-4101 Proposed revisions to Chapter 11 include voluntary irrevocable assigned trusts for use as another type of reclamation bond as authorized by 2022 House Bill 0045. Revisions to Chapter 14 are intended to address an OSMRE review comment on the previously submitted formal amendment.
Land Quality Rule Package Docket 23-4102 Proposed revisions to Noncoal Chapter 6 include provisions for voluntary irrevocable assigned trusts to be used as a new type of acceptable reclamation bond instrument as authorized by 2022 House Bill 0045.
Land Quality Rule Package Docket 23-4103 Proposed revisions to Noncoal Chapters 2 and 9 include provisions that allow for the use of inert materials as backfill at noncoal mining operations as authorized by 2022 House Bill 0123.
CONTESTED CASE HEARING
In Re Black Hills Bentonite Docket 22-4801 Petitioners have appealed the DEQ decision to approve the surface mining permit for Black Hills Bentonite
